And pround mum to five beautiful children. They’re not only my biggest inspiration, but also the reason Gooji came to life. It all started back in 2011 when I began designing party invitations, and from there, my creative journey took off.
The name “Gooji” comes from a special little word I used when playing and giggling with my kids as babies. Just saying it brings back the joy and laughter of those early years — it’s a name full of love and happiness.
Life is full of precious moments — birthdays, baby showers, weddings, and all the little milestones in between. Whether we can be there in person or not, a thoughtful card or sweet message is a beautiful way to share in the joy and let someone know they’re loved.
That’s why I created Gooji — a collection of greeting cards, stickers, party supplies, and more. Every design is made with heart, with the hope of helping you celebrate life’s special moments and brighten someone’s day.
The Founding of Gooji
Janette Chiu is the founder of Gooji, a graphic designer, and a mother to five beautiful children. The name “Gooji” symbolizes the happiness and joy that Janette’s children bring her. It was the term she used when tickling and playing with them as babies, always eliciting a smile on her face.
